Why we exist
It started with a father who believed.
Mark Dorris Jr. played college basketball and spent 12 years as a professional in Europe. Behind every step of that journey was his father, Mark Dorris Sr.
When Mark came home to Cincinnati, he started Leave Your Mark Foundation to honor his dad and to give kids what his father gave him: a coach, a mentor, and someone in their corner. Today the foundation makes sure a family’s budget doesn’t decide whether a child gets to play.

We use the game to open doors: covering the costs that keep kids on the sidelines, backing a league built for Cincinnati’s charter school students, and surrounding kids with adults who believe in them.
Charter School League
We’re the official nonprofit sponsor of the CSL, giving Cincinnati charter school students a league of their own every Saturday.

A jersey is just the start. The real impact comes from the adults who coach, encourage, and hold kids to a high standard on and off the court.
